HyperX’s 300-Hour Battery Life Headset Is Cheaper Than Ever for Prime Day 2023

I reviewed these headphones over a year ago, and I still can’t believe they earned our coveted 10/10 rating. The HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless headphones claim they can get up to 300 hours of battery life on a single charge. In practice, I got 325 hours. Most headsets only get 30. And now they’re cheaper than ever.

Normally, these headphones cost $200. That’s already a respectable price for what amounts to a magic headset. But now, during Prime Day 2023, they’ve dropped down to $150 for the first time ($50 off). I must remark here that 150 is one-half the number of hours of battery life these headphones get. That’s 50 cents per hour of battery life. If you make the national minimum wage of $7.25 an hour, it would take you a little over 20 hours to earn enough money to buy these headphones. In that time, most other wireless headsets would have died. These would still have 280 hours left over.

If I used these headphones every day at work, eight hours a day, 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, I would only need to charge them seven times per year. If I had a nickel for every time I’ve had to recharge these headphones since my review in April 2022, I would have, at most, 35 cents. Which is not enough to buy one hour of battery life with this deal.
