TV Deals

A surprising amount of great TVs are on sale this weekend, which makes it a great time to upgrade for cold weather season.

LG’s C1 OLED is one of the prettiest TVs you’ll find, thanks to the organic LED technology onboard, in which every pixel acts as its own backlight. That means perfect black levels. The TV will do up to 120 hz refresh rates at 4K, and super low input lag means this will easily double as an XXL gaming monitor. The 48-inch version is also on sale, though we recommend the larger size, which is also on sale at Amazon.

The TCL 6-Series is our favorite TV for most people, which is why we recommend this deal even though it’s a relatively small discount. Quantum dot technology means bright a vibrant colors, the onboard Google TV interface is excellent, and Mini LED backlighting helps provide excellent contrast.

The less expensive 5-Series also has quantum dot technology and Google TV, but it lacks the mini LED backlighting that makes the more expensive model have better contrast. The price will probably drop even more around Black Friday, but this isn’t a great year to wait

Audio Gear

From headphones to soundbars, there are a ton of solid deals on our favorite audio gear this weekend.

The AirPods Pro have been “on sale” for $192 for what feels like forever. We found an actual discount! These are the best wirefree earbuds for iOS diehards, which is actually a pretty steep cut for the Cupertino company. They’re also on sale at Walmart

They’re still our favorite sounding wireless earbuds on the market, but the release of the Galaxy Buds2 has prompted some steep discounts for the older Galaxy Buds Pro (9/10, WIRED Recommends). These buds have better sound, noise-canceling, and looks than the Buds2.

If you’ve been struggling with background noise but you don’t want to drop several hundreds more on noise-canceling headphones from Sony, Apple, and Bose, these noise-canceling headphones from Jabra are probably just the ticket. They are super comfortable, have excellent battery life, and are even water-resistant—perfect for rainy day dog walks.

JLab makes great affordable wireless earbuds, and the Icon Air were well worth their price when they cost double this. If you want a pair you won’t worry too much about, these are a great buy.

Polk’s React soundbar line (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is cool, because it allows you to slowly build a modular system. Start with this $199, Alexa-enabled centerpiece, then add Polk’s surround speakers and subwoofer for true 5.1 surround sound down the line. It’s also on sale at Amazon

Samsung’s Dolby Atmos soundbar system (8/10, WIRED Recommends) comes with a massive amount of drivers in the bar, plus two surround speakers and a subwoofer. The wireless speakers pair instantly, only requiring you to plug in a power cable, and an HDMI cable to your TV. It’s also on sale at Walmart. PC and Gaming

Now’s a great time to hunker down with a new gaming headset and monitor, or to upgrade your lighting for video calls.

We’re big fans of HyperX’s gaming headphones, which come with comfortable ear pads and decent-sounding microphones. This isn’t a huge discount, but they’re still less than $100. You can’t really go wrong with this pair.

This 27-inch gaming monitor comes with 4K resolution, Nvidia G-Sync and AMD Freesync, which means it will perfectly sync up with your graphics card. It also has a sleek, diamond-shaped design with an easily height-adjustable stand built-in.

It doesn’t have the same sleek design as the HP Omen above, but this LG monitor is also great for gaming, with AMD Freesync and Nvidia G-Sync on board. The curved bottom stand keeps it stable, but we’d opt for a better mount if space is tight on your desk. You can also special-order it at B&H Photo.

The Dell XPS has been one of our favorite laptops for many generations, thanks to its practical, lightweight design, great screen, and solid battery life. This one comes with a 256 gig solid state drive, 8 gigs of ram, and an Intel Core i5. It’s not the speediest laptop ever, but it’s a solid buy for students or those who need something simple for work on the go.

If you’re looking to get into gaming, you probably need to upgrade your router. We’ve tested and like this one, but check out our router buying guide for more options.
