No matter where you live, an air purifier is a good idea. Even if your indoor air doesn’t feel dirty, it is. Photograph: CowayThe Airmega 400 has high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filters that cycle the air in a 1,560-square-foot room twice per hour. If you’re using it in a smaller space, it can cycle it out four times per hour. It can automatically adjust settings based on the room’s changing air quality, so you don’t have to think about it. And it has a color-coded air quality ring on the front, so you know what your room’s status is at a glance.
It has a prefilter made to catch larger particles, which you can wash, as well as a HEPA filter combined with activated carbon that will eventually need to be swapped—the purifier will alert you when it’s time to do both. They’re easy to snap in and out.
